The Garden Party at Redeemer Lutheran is a giving garden dedicated to sharing healthy food with local people in need.
It is sustained by a diverse group of volunteers committed to cultivating and nurturing community, stewardship and learning through gardening.

A Giving Garden
Over the past 6 years, The Garden Party has been growing and donating vegetables to the Parkdale Activity Recreation Centre and St. Francis Table on Queen Street in Toronto.
In 2011, The Garden Party made 30 visits to the food kitchens between May 24 and November 25, donating over 617 lbs. or 280 Kg of fresh produce and more than 110 herb bouquets. Our biggest vegetable producers were bok choy, kale, Swiss chard, spinach, beans and many kinds of lettuce.

By the Community ... For the Community
We are a group of 20 volunteers who live in and around the Bloor By The Park neighbourhood.
Together we are committed to building community, learning through vegetable gardening and helping those less fortunate in our community.
